| No, it's not Brigadoon, it's fall in Humboldt |
I was just shaken to my core twice, once by the latest
episode of Homeland, then by the little earthquake that shook my apartment. Being
way too involved with television characters can be a little stressful sometimes.
I was glad to read this
post showing I am not the only one with this problem. I particularly love
how she confesses to not watching Breaking Bad. I often feel weird admitting
the must watch shows that I haven’t seen yet.
I don’t know how I missed that Jane Pratt of my beloved
teenage Sassy and mid-twenties Jane magazines has a website called XO Jane. So many intriguing things to read.
Getting my daily news
without scouring the internet just became a lot easier with the Daily Skimm. Cleverly written, it
captures the major stories in a daily email I can read in the time it takes to
drink my coffee.
It still feels like summer but when I feel the nighttime
chill I get excited for sweater weather. These adorable rain boots from Joules are
making me hope for a lot more rain this year.
The weather may not scream fall but I am ready for stew season. Made this super tasty crockpot African
Peanut Stew but added chicken and took out the rice. I poured it over spinach so it just wilted in the bowl. So good!
Songs I can’t get enough of this week: Into the Wild by LP, Roar by Katy Perry and Wake Me Up by Avicii (Common theme: adventure anthems that make me feel pumped up for the next turn in the road).
Where I go to find out the magnitude of what just shook my apartment.
