Blossoming trees, sunshine, longer days and the
transition from winter darks to bright clothes are all signs that Spring is
here. Enjoying a green beer in the sunshine for St. Patricks Day reminded me
how much I love this time of year and how grateful I am for all the good
fortune I have. I feel very lucky to have a great job, many wonderful people in
my life, the opportunity to travel and an outlet to share all my favorite
things.
I get super excited to discover new bands through
NPR’s coverage of South by
Southwest. There is even a 100 song playlist of the songs/bands that the NPR
music staff is most excited about available
for free download.
I have a weakness for adorable packaging,
especially when it’s themed around something I am also interested in. The Urban
Decay Oz palettes have colors but the packaging is what made me call all
over town to find the Theodora palette. I am loving experimenting with the new
colors, particularly the super saturated bold red lip color.
I will be working on figuring out how to DIY this
bag as I am in love with the sentiment but can’t deal with the price tag.
I have been listening to the concert compilation
from the Mumford and Sons tour a lot. The song A Little Bit of Everything by
Dawes moved me to tears the first time I paid attention to the words.
Receiving a card or invitation in the mail is such
a joy. I love Paperless Post’s
invitations and that you can choose to send either electronic cards or paper
cards. They have collaborated with some really great designers to make unique
cards.
My spring resolution is to try to take a daily
photo of something that delights me on Instagram so follow along with me @mollyobsesses.
