Hello 2013! It’s sunny and gorgeous in the Bay Area and it feels like an auspicious start to the year. 2012 was a year of big changes for me and I look forward to settling into them in 2013. I am also hoping for more time to spend on my pop culture obsessions and sharing them with all of you.
I love me some end of the year lists! They confirm all my favorites and introduce me to the things I have missed. AV Club lists Best TV of 2012, Best Films of 2012, The Best Podcasts of 2012 (I have a slightly different list that I will write out at some point) and The Best Music of 2012. NPR analyzes 50 wonderful things from the year in pop culture, Audiobooks for Every Taste, Best Books of 2012 (broken out by genre so there is a book for everyone), 10 Music Artists You Should Have Known in 2012 and 50 Best Albums in 2012. Entertainment Weekly shares a ridiculous number of lists.
AV Club fills us in on what to be most excited about in 2013. I know the release of Catching Fire is my most anticipated pop culture adventure!
